High-strung and easily frustrated/angered. Can be very condescending and disrespectful and you'll never see it coming. Terrible social skills.
The receptionist is extremely rude and they really are big on office visits so that they can get your insurance money. My son has bad eczema and they prescribed a steroid cream that got it under control. My husband took him to his follow up appointment and the doctor was very pleased with the results and with the fact his condition was under control. Apparently they told him to come back again in 6 weeks (my husband does not remember this) and THEY scheduled the follow-up (again my husband does not remember doing this). The ... read more
Great Dermatologist, Very Nice – Just got my skin exam with Dr. Martinez . Very nice . the exam was thorough, had 2 suspicious moles removed and it did not even hurt. Her staff is nice too- all have been there as long as I can remember. They make you feel at home, not rushed.They take BCBS too! I Highly recommend! Thanks Dr. M!
Finally...a doctor who knows what they're doing!! – I’ve had my share of skin issues, and FINALLY, I have found a dermatologist who knows what she’s doing! For years, I suffered from red, itchy rashes on my legs, arms, and face. Absolutely great service – Dr. Mary Ann Martinez treats my skin cancer and other dermatological needs. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and explains medical issues very clearly and understandably. Her nurses and office staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend her to anyone needing to see a dermatologists. She is simply the best.
Best dermatologist in the USA – If you are looking for a dermatologist who is not only at the top of her profession but also truly cares about her patients, try Dr. Mary Ann Martinez at Bee Caves Dermatology. I have used her services 3 times over the last 5 years, the last one of which was for a systemic counter-reaction to an anti-inflammatory ( Celebrex). Not impressed – Dr. Martinez is not very easy to talk to and actually cut me off when I was asking her a question at a follow up appointment. Rude and not very customer friendly. It seemed like all they wanted to do was sell me things and services trying to get me to by $40 sun screen, etc. There are many other better places to go in Austin.
Unfriendly staff – One of those dermatologists big on follow up appointments instead of just taking care of things in one visit.... and if you can't make an appointment - they will charge $25 no questions asked - no allowances made. There are much better places to go in Austin.
Best Dermatologist in Austin - No Ridiculous High Fees on Procedures – I have been seeing dermatologists for the last 30 years since I had teenage acne. I have had dermatologists in San Francisco and Austin. Dr. Martinez is the best one I've seen in Austin. She is very thorough, professional, and iconveys friendliness also.
