What an excellent event at every level! Absolutely gorgeous hilly trail, and an Iditarod-style race with some assisted checkpoints for good measure. The community really comes out to make this one what it is, bringing in top notch dogs/mushers .
We spent time watching all the teams prepare for the race and watch a few teams take off. But my most favorite part is sitting in the woods watching as the teams go quietly by. The dogs are in a rhythm and enjoying the run. This year was nice with sunshine and blue skies. I was happy for the dogs that it didn't get too warm. Great race.
