I’ve been with this dentist over 40 years. Have several crowns. Recently another. Now 5 month’s later I find they no longer do root canals and new crown is sitting on a tooth that should have been given a root canal before being crowned. Does that sound like a more complete exam should have been used before crowning. I now have to use a crown specialist to drill through the new crown to do a more complete repair, at my cost. Why?

I am very sorry for the misunderstanding. Most teeth that need crowns do not need root canals. Occasionally, after the tooth is crowned, the root will die and need a root canal. this situation arises in less than 10 percent of cases. Mrs. Davis has been my dentist for over 8 years now and there was not a single case where her diagnosis happened to be wrong or when I had any problem. She is a very experienced dentist and is always caring for the particular patient needs. Today, I had an inflated gum and Mrs. Davis office gave me an immediate same-day appointment. Mrs. Davis identified the problem which even x-ray could not reveal and prescribed the treatment.
