My search for a psychiatrist who takes my insurance and will meet with me personally is very frustrating and disturbing. Beacon Mental Health Services was no exception. HOWEVER, the person who fielded my call, LAURA, was extremely sympathetic and helpful. I sincerely hope her employer values her presence and effort on behalf of Beacon Mental Health Services.
I saw Debbie Thomas instead of the psychiatrist. She was not knowledgeable at all and always needed the psychiatrists consult. The Telehealth visits were incredibly expensive for being a 10 min visit where she ran through the same set of questions that she read off of a list. I’ve never met a mental health professional who was so interpersonally insensitive. I had a severe adverse reaction to a medication and she was not sure what to do about it.
