I wish there was a lower rating to give... Today I had a screening colonoscopy. In the past two weeks, I have requested multiple times that insurance benefits would be verified and "potential" costs would be transparent. Prior to this morning, I was told that my insurance would pay 100% of the cost, with $500 lab fees pd by ins. This morning, I was presented with a form (that I had to sign to receive the procedure) that stated that I could potentially be billed approximately $800 for the procedure. Care is OK but billing is horrible. I paid medicare deductible March 3 and it took till July 1 to get refund after deductible withheld from doctor bill. I called facility manger many times without success. Finally complaining to Medicare got my refund. Go somewhere else.
A family member of mine. Had to have a procedure done. From the receptionist area to surgery team was great.
They overcharged by a lot back in January and they still have not returned the money. Every time I call and ask about it they just say they are still reviewing it. I have already gotten the explanation of benefits statement that proves I was overcharged, yet they won’t give my money back. So they got paid from me and my insurance company for the same thing.
