I had a meet and greet with Dr. Shana Anton back in the spring. Very nice and pleasant. We scheduled my annual physical for a few weeks later. I had a blood draw and went back for my annual physical with her. She went over my blood work and asked many questions regarding my health including dermatology as I was being treated for a skin issue. Never in 40 years have I ever been charged for a annual physical. All covered by insurance. But that means nothing to BayCare Medical Group Primary Care Allendale. They missed coded my ... read more

Every time I’ve been to this location, the security guard outside has been unnecessarily aggressive. The first time I came here, I was waiting in my car while my girlfriend went inside for her appointment. The guard noticed me sitting there and walked over, asking, "Can I help you?" in an aggressive tone. I explained that I was just waiting for my girlfriend, who had an appointment inside. He acted like that was strange and said, “You know there are chairs inside, right?”—as if it's a problem to sit in my own car. The second... read more

I have been with this practice since 2007. When I first started coming here I saw Jerry Bishop. He was the best doctor. He took the time with his patients, allowed them to ask questions and would explain things. I would see him twice a year. He’s no longer there and it went downhill from there. The first doctor I saw after he left was incredibly rude came in and wanted to do a complete overhaul on my medication without so much as an explanation other than “I’m not doing that”. If I could give this office a zero I would. Dr. Anton, Scott-office manager, Barb-MA, have terrible bedside manner, do not care or empathize with their patients. They are not equipped to handle patients with mental health issues, take my warning and run the other way. They withheld a medication from me due to a scheduling error on THEIR part. One that I have been taking for 10+ years for conditions I have been diagnosed with since I was a child. No communication, even from the Dr. when I called in with overwhelming distress.... read more
