We’ve had four of our five children with Bay Area Midwifery, three of whom were born in the freestanding birth center. Night and day from my very traumatic experience with an OB in the hospital with our first child. We only have fabulous things to say about each and every one of the midwives and our experience there. They are amazingly dedicated, talented, passionate, thorough and nurturing. Highly recommend!

Had my first Bay Area baby just 7 short months ago. From start to finish I cannot say enough good things about this practice. Each midwife was helpful, open, and a joy to meet and work with. Special thank you to midwife Anne who was a complete rockstar all through labor with our girl. I had to be induced and the use of pitocin was not in my plan. Needless to say, Anne helped to make sure I still was able to have the birth I wanted and helped to guide me along the way. If we were with any other practice I could have had a ver... read more

I hired Bay Area to help with my 2nd baby and I am so blessed to have had that experience. Midwifes really do all they can to help MOM listen to their bodies in their birthing journey and to help make the experience peaceful and pleasant. Did you know birth can be peaceful and pleasant? It can! Thank you Bay Area for supporting and helping bring Lillie into the world.

Where do I even begin?! Every single person at this office/practice was kind and friendly. Being each midwife I met during my appointments made me feel calm and understood. These women are compassionate and so incredibly intelligent. They sit with you at each appointment and let you talk about all of your questions/concerns — never feeling rushed! And there is no way to ever truly thank them for going out of their way to recommend books to read, and give their own birth stories to help ease my over analyzing mind! I have so ... read more

The fabulous Julie caught her second Warzoha girl a week ago today! I can't say enough about the amazing, patient, loving care I received from everyone in the practice. From my first appointment over 3 years ago when Shaina held my hand through a birth trauma induced panic attack during a speculum exam from my first (non bay area) birth to Julie's calm composure when Maisy decided to throw us a curveball with an extended decel I couldn't ask for better care for myself or my sweet babies. Thank you for two empowering, healing... read more

I love Bay Area Midwifrey! Their team is so knowledgeable, patient, and care! You don’t feel rushed and they take time to answer all your questions and concerns. You can birth at the hospital or their free standing birth center (attached to the hospital) with their team! I have had great experiences doing both with their team. I highly recommend them!
