A staple of Las Vegas Italian restaurants for more than 20 years, this cozy eatery has served the famous - Sinatra himself dined here while in Las Vegas - and the not-so-famous. All entrees include unlimited free red or white house wine, garlic bread, and a soup or salad, which makes this fun restaurant a great deal. As a bonus, dinner is almost always accompanied by live accordion music and singing. The restaurant is decorated with strange and wonderful memorabilia, including one of the largest collections of tiny liquor bo... read more

Want Great Italian - Go Elsewhere! – We visited Batista's for dinner on a recent trip to Vegas after having it recommended by the front desk at our hotel. We did some online searching and it appeared to be a good option, so we set out. I didn't pay attention to the fact that most of the good ratings were several YEARS old. Our first "warning" was when the cab driver tried to talk us into going to another Italian restaurant.... The restaurant boasts "free" salad, garlic bread, house wine, and cappucino. Given the fact that sp... read more
What is all the fuss about? – Although recommended by a local, we saw nothing special about this place. The bread had been sitting too long with the butter on it. It was edible, but not notable. The meal was okay, but the spinach was not good at all. We had to ask what it was! The salad was all right, but nothing special and you only got one bowl. The service was not exeptional either, even though they were not busy at all and there were two waiters taking care of us. I would find someplace else to eat Italian. It was priced... read more
Amazing food, old Vegas, and very reasonable prices – This place is great. There is no way you can complain about the food or the prices. It is old school and comfortable. Nothing to fancy. Great if you like old Vegas, or an old Italian restaraunt back east. $26 for Veal Parm, unlimited wine, a salad, and cappucino. I live in Vegas, and anywhere else you are spending more than that on just the wine. The staff is great, it is full of history, and just a great time. I have brought relatives and out of town guests of all ages, ... read more
below average food for high end price – This place came as a recommendation to me through a friend as having good food, reasonably priced. I am not a picky eater, and since everywhere else you go in Vegas seems to break the bank so thought I'd give it a shot. The restaurant staff were friendly with an old mom and pop style decor, very similar to Bucca di Beppo's decor and having menu on the wall (I am wondering if Bucca stole their idea). Doesn't matter what entree you order, it's ~$20/person, and the meal is packaged come w... read more
Lost in the moment – My husband and I spent a week in Vegas on business. I had seen a review of Battista's Hole in the Wall on the Travel Channel so we decided to give it a try. We did not have reservations. We enjoyed a beer at the bar for about a half hour while we waited for a table. The atmosphere was very lively and fun...lots of chatter and dishes clanking. The food was magnificent...best lasagna I have ever eaten. The wine flowed freely and was equally magnificent. The accordian player was charming and sweet. The serv... read more
Atmosphere overshadows average food – While I was initially nervous - the menu was on the wall and the place had a strange smell - the atmosphere proved to be the best part of the dining experience. Besides, who can be disappointed with a place that sets carafes of wine on your table as soon as you're seated?! While the food was not the best I've ever had and certainly not the best deal, I felt like I was eating with family - the entire room sang happy birthday to one of the patrons and we all toasted a dead guy (don't know ... read more
Beware: High prices, bad food! – Terrible. I am Italian and know good Italian food. Very high price for food that tasted like it was out of a microwave package or a jar. Service was slow and inattentive, there were 8 of us for a 50th birthday party weekend and our table was basically ignored. Yes the wine is free but it tasted like swill. The atmosphere, however, is charming. Go to Pietro's near the convention center. It is the real deal.
Although fun atmosphere - food is average to below average – Although a fun place to go for tourists, the food is expensive for the quality you receive. Try another Italian place; there are plenty in the valley that offer authentic cuisine and not pricey.
Skip this Place for Italian Food – I have been to Battista's two times. Once there were four of us and with reservations we had to wait and there is very little place to wait. The service is horrible and they should be embarrassed to say they call this service, it's better at a buffet. The two waiters I had were old and grumpy and mean, I did notice if you were old like they were they gave you better service. The second time I was with a wedding party and these people were from a small town in Ohio and they said they had bet... read more
