Bates Nut Farm started with walnuts, but now purchases nuts from all over the world. Pistachios, pecans, cashews, peanuts, pignolias, sunflower seeds and much more can be purchased on the farm. The nuts come raw, roasted, some spiced up and unsalted. To ensure quality and freshness we roast and package our nuts on the farm. The Bates family takes pride in providing a quality product at a fair price. It's part of the tradition.

Great events all year! Fun place to visit!
We went yesterday to the patch and it was a little disappointing because though I understand that not EVERYTHING would be available it seemed like nothing was available... the straw maze was kinda disappointing and with no staff supervising there were kids running around on top of the maze?!?.... the pumpkins were gathered like normal but everything seemed empty and over... This is a fun family place. We have been going every year since I was a kid, I am 50 now�. However, if you go on the weekend, you NEED to get there early, they open at 9! Only one road in and out, and it fills up after 10am�
Always good family fun! Love the animals and the gift shop. The food trucks were an added bonus. Nice relaxing day!

Since relocating to San Diego 10 years ago from the Bay Area we have made this place an annual tradition! Love everything about Bates!
Perfect for a quick trip for locals and a day of fun for those not lucky enough to live down the street. The fudge is yummy, the trees are shady and the animals are gentle and hungry!
