I went to BB A & E around 4am recently after a 10 day post-op mouth procedure done in my home town of Sydnney. In BB for the Summer salt music festival I experienced an unexpected bleed at this time. After no success stopping the bleeding we headed to the hospital and encountered Dr Elize Carpenter and two senior RN's who were terrific. I noticed two things in particular. Came in with an infected thumb and with it considerable pain on a Saturday night. Had the most caring and friendly staff that attended to me - thank you so much to the lovely nurses and Dr at Batemans Bay that I saw tonight. Have only good things to say about my experience at this hospital.
ED staff are pleasant, professional and efficient. We received prompt and effective treatment even though it was busy.
Exceptional care. Rocked up Christmas Day with my not too elderly father with chest pains and emergent sepsis (sweats and low BP / urine output). Quickly identified it as acute cholecystitis after his rather atypical chest presentation, was placed on iv antibiotics quickly and shipped to moruya for surgical review and CT. Turned up at the hospital (emergency) worried about my brother, he was throwing up blood and felt extreamly nausiated one of the worse days we had, the youngish blonde lady could'nt have been more rude, I will not repeat what she said, so we went to moruya, I understand nursing is not easy but to be so agressive and rude when we are having one of the worst days of our lives and it should be one of the first things as a nurse you should learn to be nice.
