My family and I have been members since November 2017 and haven't had a smooth vacation since we started. In 2014 my wife and I made the worst financial decision of our life. It cost us over $20,000. We were lied to by the the sales people at Blue Green Timeshares!!!!!! We planned to meet our children in Branson Missouri for Thanksgiving. We were told that our timeshare was not available so we were sent to a hotel. We were not even allowed to go see our timeshare while we were there!!! My husband and I brought at Bluegreen in 2009 Should have known better. On Atil 10'2017 my husband passed away from a massive heart attack. My granddaughter name was on as an owner; she asked me to remove her name. So yesterday 1/29/2018 I went online to do so.I spoke to someone there she said the had the death certificate I mailed in so to do the two at once. I have been a Bluegreen owner for years. I've made the same mistake twice. Fell for their high pressure tactics. When I bought the first time, I was told that if I decided to sell in the future, Bluegreen would buy it back. When I tried to do that, Bluegreen said we don't do that. We had someone in bass pro approach us offering this AMAZING VACATION that we could not miss out on. After my fiance running to walmart because he is very safe not to use his credit card with things like like. We have been owners for 20+ yrs and have seen a Hugh turn around in sales pressures to purchase more time wth Bluegreen. The sales team explained they had been given the objective to sale the Bluegreen product reather than try and force customers to purchase . Great move on Bluegreens part ! Bluegreen has always had 5 star places to stay at .
I found a company that would help me liquidate Bluegreen and in Dec of 2017 it happened. I forgot about the 15000 pt i had on the books. I paid my owner fees for 2016 ($1400.00). i think i should be reinbursed for my last year fees. So i called the BlueGreen office and inquired about my 15000 pt. They told me in a very rude voice i should have done some thinking about this before i took action. I am no longer in the system so no one will talk to me.
Guys, Just wanted to share a positive experience with BG. I haven't opened a timeshare yet with BG but would wanted to share my experience prior. I had taken the initial package in July this year and had planned for a trip to vegas from 27th to 30th December 2017. As per their rules, you will be levied cancellation charges if you confirm the booking and then drop out within 2 weeks of your arrival date. I received a phone call from Bluegreen Vacations. The caller ID was showing area code 802 which is the only exchange for the state of Vermont where I reside but the call was actually from Florida. The representative informed me that I was still in the running for a grand prize vacation drawing and that I had been selected for a promotional vacation package which would be good for the next 2 years.
