RecommendedWe went there for the first time last night. The service was excellent. All the staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was exceptional! Everything was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. Then there was the Lemon Berry Cheesecake for desert...oh my!! Will definately be back!

Basnight's has gotten to be a must-go place when we're in OBX. It's not cheap, so it's our treat night out. This year I'm here on my own, and decided that I'd treat myself even though I miss the company of family. You did not disappoint! Started with the She Crab soup and it was excellent. After mulling over several choices, I chose the broiled combo, and everything was cooked perfectly! Had leftovers to bring back for lunch today. Had reservations for 15 but needed to add 3 more. Hostess was very rude. Acted like it was a inconvenience for 3 more ppl. They were not that busy. We had 1 waitress for our party of 18. We had to ask for refills on tea and water. She brought our food orders and then totally split on us. We didn't see her again until we had to ask the manager for our checks. We used Basnight's Lone Cedar Catering for our wedding this past April, and I must say that it was the best wedding food I've ever had, and I'm so glad that it was our wedding! Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality, positive disposition throughout the process, and of course, the amazing food! Our guests raved and I crave that shrimp and grits dish of yours quite often!

Walked in. Walked out. Was told they had a big party and wait staff was backed up. Gentleman out front said he would see if they could fit in our party of 4. Young lady at the hostess stand comes over to recommends other places. Like really? There were open tables everywhere. They couldn't handle a party of 4 because of a party of 50!? We were told to try this place by a friend while we are vacationing here. Very disappointed

We will certainly meet with the management and see why if there were open tables everywhere why you were not sat or put on a wait list. We were on a 15-20minutes wait last night from 6:30pm-8:15pm so I'm not certain why there would have been open tables unless they were allowing time for the kitchen to put out the food for the party of 50. The best place to eat and cater in the Outer Banks! I had my bridesmaid luncheon there, which EVERYONE loved the food and service! Also the catered for our wedding, and again EVERYONE loved the food and service! I couldn't ask for a better place to cater our wedding! It was absolutely perfect! Their shrimp and grits are AMAZING!! Thank you to everyone at Basnight's!
