They've shut the water off at least 7 times in the last 2 months. You'd be better off living in a hotel than here. Showering and cooking dinner with bottles of water night after night is ridiculous.
The on-site staff does what they can, but the core issues are beyond their control. Austin’s infrastructure is already unreliable - and if you live and work from home here, expect full-day water outages on a regular basis. I would give Barton Creek Landing zero stars if I could. The management here clearly doesn’t care about residents—only about squeezing as much money out of you as possible. They act friendly when you move in, but don’t be fooled. When you’re preparing to move out, they suddenly spring hidden requirements on you, like saying it’s mandatory to pay for a “professional carpet cleaning” and provide them with the receipt—or else you’ll be fined. This was by far the most difficult living experience I’ve ever had. The issues were constant because they had obviously not prepared or inspected the apartment before move in. These include but are not limited to: A miswired electrical outlet that destroyed multiple devices. The dryer vent was never installed at all. Just nothing to connect the dryer outlet and the vest to outside. The hole from the outside in lead to bugs entering through the vent and a massive draft in the apartment during the winter.
