I would give Barton Creek Landing zero stars if I could. The management here clearly doesn’t care about residents—only about squeezing as much money out of you as possible. They act friendly when you move in, but don’t be fooled. When you’re preparing to move out, they suddenly spring hidden requirements on you, like saying it’s mandatory to pay for a “professional carpet cleaning” and provide them with the receipt—or else you’ll be fined. This was by far the most difficult living experience I’ve ever had. The issues were constant because they had obviously not prepared or inspected the apartment before move in. These include but are not limited to: A miswired electrical outlet that destroyed multiple devices. The dryer vent was never installed at all. Just nothing to connect the dryer outlet and the vest to outside. The hole from the outside in lead to bugs entering through the vent and a massive draft in the apartment during the winter. What an absolute nightmare living at this place! I would give negative reviews if I could. We moved here in January and the place was dirty when we moved in and several things were broken. Their electrical outlet killed two of our appliances. Under my bathroom sink there was a cockroach trap glued to the wall to cover a hole! Shortly after living there we started seeing cockroaches, scorpions, and other bugs in our apartment daily. We had pest control come and spray our apartment weekly. This apartment complex has toxic mold within all the air ducting and walls. My 4 year old and I became very sick. Pneumonia, Constant bloody noses, brain fog, digestive issues, etc. It was reported to maintenance multiple times, but was always pushed aside. After hearing about other neighbors having the same issue, we had third party do testing. It came back "extremely toxic and should be treated as a bio-hazard area" . “My daughter lived in this apartment for a total of 6 months before breaking her lease. She was encountering cockroaches in her apartment on a daily basis, along with a plethora of other pests. The apartments are very old and have many access points for pests. Definitely would not recommend living here. “🪳🪳🪳🪳
