I’ve had two procedures with Dr. MacDonald: a herniated disc in T-4,T-5 December 2015. He was great explaining the procedure and listening to me. I went back to him this week and performed a cervical spinal fusion C5-C6, C6-C7. He came in ahead of time and we had a great conversation. He followed up with me early evening in the hospital room. It is perfectly clear with Dr. MacDonald that his goal is to do what he can to get you out of pain. Simply the best! (This is after trying Emory)
Amazing Doc. Very interested in helping me. Took time to explain everything.
He is the greatest surgeon I ever found, & the kindest man that I have ever had the honor to know. For 1.5 years I got bounced around with horrible doctors at Emory who said I had herniated discs and wouldn't listen as the pain kept getting worse. Dr. MacDonald listened, he looked & found my L5 was shattered, the discs didn't heal due to bones piercing them, & swelling on the nerves damaged them. I believe if I met him first I would be walking. He is a wonderful doctor and treats you like family
If my son, husband or any other friend or family member needed the expertise of a neurosurgeon with my eyes closed I would take them to Dr. MacDonald and his team. He fix my back with his blessed expertise and from the beginning was honest and caring never rushing to finish with me and move to the next patient. If you are worried about your surgery and looking for a second opinion go to him. He was my second opinion and the last one.
Dr. MacDonald injured my spinal cord during my surgery. Although I knew the risks of surgery, this doctor never informed me of the injury and didn't explain my paralysis. The hospital failed to inform me either. i was quickly transferred to a rehabilitation hospital and Dr. MacDonald did no follow up at all. I have suffered and struggled for 3 years and I am 100% disabled. I just wish he would've been more forthcoming . Maybe that's why he left Texas.
Dr. MacDonald is an accomplished surgeon with terrific patient empathy and consideration. After suffering with spinal stenosis for years Dr. MacDonald recommended a procedure to correct my issues. I am grateful for his skill and expertise in performing the procedure to the point that I now feel like a new person. Minimal recovery time. I would highly recommend Dr. MacDonald.
Dr. Bart McDonald is an excellent, knowledgeable and extremely caring physician. I went to him for lumbar surgery recommendations and options. After speaking about my symptoms, he recommended my neck be checked and found I had severe cervical spinal stenosis which needed correction ASAP. I underwent surgery in November and had a fusion from c-4 thru c-7 and he did a phenomenal job!! I cannot express how grateful I am to him and his staff for taking such good care of me. I feel great! Thank you
