I first visited Dr Gritz himself in 2016. His diagnosis was completely opposite one from a few others. I didn’t agree the “others’” were the best. Not that they were wrong, but psychiatry is very subjective to the individual and requires an “out of the box thinking” assessment. Dr. Gritz is brilliant. Controlled substances are there to control things. That’s what they do. Our thoughts, our choices, our actions also exist to be used as tools to control things. The freedom we as humans have is the freedom of choosing what we a... read more

Dr. GRITZ is a VERY likable person. My issue here is that I don’t think they know enough about addiction and you go in and it’s like a candy store, until you reach bottom. My last appointment with him he said, “Um, I’m only going to prescribe half the dose of this, I don’t want to lose my license.”

Always late. He overbooks and then you have to wait. Plan to get in about an hour later than your appointment unless you book early in the morning.

He doesn’t push meds that aren’t necessary. We work together to come up with a treatment plan that is right for me. He’s patient and takes the time to listen.

Very Good. He listens very closely. He lets you have your opinion on your path of well being. He explains and goes over every medication, side effects, ect with you and allows time for your questions. I’ve been going to Psychiatrist for over 25 years, and he is the best in my opinion.

Very thorough in finding the correct prescriptions that help you live a quality life. Takes his time asking you how you are doing and making adjustments when necessary. Easy to talk to. With an office that reflects his personality and brings happiness with its calm charming atmosphere.

Simply put...A doctor I never dread seeing. He is caring and thorough...eccentric ,yet approachable.I have been treated by three psychiatrists and he is by far ...by far...my favorite. He has helped me tremendously.

I first started seeing Dr. Gritz in late October of last year. I went in with hesitation seeing that I really have never seen a psychiatrist before. My first day there, I was a mess. Constantly worrying, feeling lost most of the time, couldn't think straight or logically, my brain was all jumbled around and drinking on basically a daily basis. After about 4 or 5 sessions to figure out what I really needed to help me, Dr. Gritz found the solution. I can't begin to thank him enough. -Chris
