I took the COVID-19 Test in the noon， the COVID TEST site is next to the Hospital， but I cannot post review the test site on Google Map， so I post here. my appoint time is 12:30PM-2PM, but there is a very long line, hundreds of cars lining up on the street, eventually I waited two and half hours to take the test. My brother-in-law was transferred to Barlow from another hospital and the experience was like night and day. Besides being thorough and proactive, the staff is incredibly nice - especially the nurses and social/case workers. Their treatment was aggressive and, within a week, he no longer needed the ventilator or oxygen. We felt assured that he was being properly cared for at this facility.
We had two choices between Barlow and another hospital. We chose Barlow we are so happy we did. My father is very happy with the way they are taking care of him. The entire staff is super awesome and aware of all my dads needs and very friendly. They are on top of every task and explain everything very well. Thank you!!
My husband was at Barlow recently and I was very pleased with the Nursing Staff especially the Nursing Assistants. The social worker and our case manager were exceptional. I wasn’t 100 percent pleased with physical therapy, but we weren’t there for PT. The Respiratory Department is efficient and professional. They were always available to us, but I never needed to summon them they were frequently making rounds. I would definitely encourage others needing Respiratory Therapy to go to Barlow. My Mom, Gloria, had the good fortune of being at Barlow Hospital not only once but twice! Both times we were fortunate that she was taken care of by Dr. Nelson and his excellent team. During her first stay Dr. Nelson made the prudent decision to give her time to wean from the ventilator, and a tracheotomy was avoided. After another critical illness almost four years later, my Mom was again at Barlow and received the care that she needed to get back on her feet.
