The arena itself is nice. One block from Atlantic Terminal. Another plus. Didn't sample the food but it cost $25 for two beers, one of which was a Coors Light. That made Citi Field seem like a bargain. It's also what kept me from giving it 4 stars.
The first time I was there my experience wasn't so great... But I was at the Islander-Ranger game last night and had amazing seats 10 rows off the ice. So close to my boy Lunqvist! All the staff I came across was super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Brian in the Barclays box office for finding me such great seats!
From my side of the venue, it looked great. The sightlines there were fantastic. The closer you get to the center and the opposite side is terrible. The off centered gigantic scoreboard is distracting. The terrible condition of the ice is obvious when you watch the game live. Neither team can get a clean shot. All the goals scored by both teams were garbage goals resulting in broken plays. Most of the goals were scored from below the circles. Decent food and drink options. Prices are ridiculous. Bathrooms are clean. Parking ... read more
It sucked 👎🏻Worst goal song , worst drum noses as if I was at a pow wow . And the islander fans suck. LETS GO RANGERS
Place is no home for hockey. Beer is a rip off, food is under cooked. And it's located in the ghetto lol
Nice only because the interior is new. Getting in for a hick game was a cluster F and construction on the street level (exterior) made finding way back to our subway station confusing. Single wide pathways frozen over with packed snow made negotiating walk areas dangerous.
Overpriced. Horrible food. No atmosphere. Seating so steep you can't see over the person's head in front of you without leaning forward. Rows too narrow to pass without tripping or stepping on someone's foot. Aisles so steep witnessed 2 people fall down the stairs while exiting. First and last time ever at Barclays.
Terrible terrible terrible. This place sucks big time. Went to a hockey game here, never again. Now I know why the fish sticks want out and please go back to Long Island. But as for Barclays it's sucks.
