This large and spacious white brick-walled restaurant is located in the meatpacking district of New York. With garage-style doors, cafe chairs, and an open kitchen, it has a very minimalist look but is comfortable nonetheless. Barbuto offers outdoor seating during Spring, so you can enjoy the open air while you munch away. The menu, which features regular Italian fare like pastas, antipasti and the like, changes everyday. Chef Jonathan Waxman is very particular about using the freshest of ingredients available.

Best chicken in NYC. As a previous poster said, the potatoes are like crack. Pastas are outstanding. They even make their own sparkling water. Great service.
Excellent food amazing service the chicken is WOW the pastas are beautiful the potatoes are crack. By far one of my favorite spots. One minor teeny tiny comment: felt a little rushed with the appetizer plate clearing. We were not done eating!! This is the kind of place you want to relax And linger with your meal... that's how lovely it is so customers should not feel rushed.
Quite possibly the best meal this year! We had the private dining room with the Chef's choice menu, 4 courses (which was really more like 12) and everything was amazing! Especially so the roasted chicken, melon salad, kale salad (and coming from me, an avowed kale skeptic), and the gnocchi.
