We were extremely fortunate to have Dr. Minkowitz treat our 6 yr old son's fractured elbow. She was caring, comforting, and professional in explaining the extent of his injury and the necessary surgical procedure. She was able to set his elbow in place anatomically perfect, which was a great relief to hear. Dr. Minkowitz was our son's doctor for a knee dislocation. She arranged for surgery and post surgery recovery. Very helpful and responsive.
While friends of mine had recommended other orthopedic surgeons, the ER had referred me to Dr. Minkowitz. My first impression was that she was a little off. She had a strange persona. She did not have a good bedside manner and did not make me or my son very comfortable. I questioned her judgment and when I got home I did a google my child's injury.
