I loved Dr. Minkowitz she was very caring for my son and the nurses as well.. my son had a previous injury and surgery and she knew the dr very well.. before the surgery she was to do she reached out to the other dr. She spoke to him while I was there and then let me speak to him and he assured me that my son was in good hands with her. And he was absolutely right. My son was 14 at the time and to this day he ask to go visit her to say thanks..
First off the doctor came in with a rude attitude and with a phone in hand. After examining my child's knee she said it was a MCL sprain and that six weeks of therapy and more vitamin D supplements were necessary. My daughter did six weeks of therapy that turned into nine months. Dr minkowitz kept writing prescriptions for many months and had yet to notice that there must be something wrong. We took my daughter to Dr. Minkowitz for a swollen ankle/foot. The Dr seemed very concerned on the day of my call and asked to see her right away. When she walked into the exam room she had cell phone in hand and did not introduce herself. She seemed very knowledgable and experienced. She took X-rays and ordered lab. Upon leaving the staff needed to print the prescription for the labs. Doubted my child had the issue we came in for due to age. Had to beg her to read MRI. Got a "well what do you know" after she finally read. Then basically told me there's boring we can do.
Dr. Minkowitz is an absolute pleasure to work with. Her skills are impeccable and I highly recommend her. She works to accommodate every patient in every way they need. Her staff is hardworking and extremely helpful. Her level of knowledge is unbelievable and her patient care is fabulous.
Minkowitz has not returned my repeated phone calls. My ex wife listens to her explicitly. My 5 year old has been in a cast for 4 months and now a boot for 1.5 months after a simple fracture she said would take 6 weeks. I'm suspecting insurance fraud.
Our son was treated for severe Tib/Fib Compound fracture/soccer injury. This likely could have been a sport ending injury had we seen a diff doc. We could not have been more pleased with the results. Thorough in treatment, explanation, follow up, concern. She spoke to our son as a young adult and treated him with respect, and compassion. Entire staff was helpful, courteous and professional. Our son has, unfortunately, required the surgical expertise of Dr. Minkowitz on more than one occasion. Not only did Dr. Minkowitz do a great job with the actual surgeries, she did a great job explaining the procedures and making this scared Mom feel as at ease as possible under the circumstances. She was thorough with follow up and testing and her staff was pleasant and helpful.
