RecommendedI prefer this Bar Louie over the one on Intentional Drive. I’m a dark skin Hispanic and the Bar Louie on Intentional Dr seems as though they’d prefer me and my African American Husband to not come. I’m much more comfortable at the bar Louie on University Drive. The server’s there look at me in my eyes when talking to me. Thank you!

RecommendedWe stood waiting to be seated for quite awhile, the waitresses would look at us and ignore us! They were not that busy either. When we were seated , ordered and received our food the waitress was gone! She came back as we where finished eating and asked it we would like a refill . Service was poor, but the food was good. We will not be going back.

RecommendedThis was the first time that I have ever been to this Bar Louie location in the Jordan Creek area (west Des Moines). First of all, the greeting was magnificent! We were seated immediately! Then our server Catherine (who was also training a new employee named Alyssa), explained in detail the ordering process, and what was on special for happy hour. We ordered two of there signature cheeseburgers and beer. The beer was cold and not stale. The food was magnificent!! The burgers were done perfect, and the buns were great as well... read more
