We love this place and make a point of eating here every time we visit Ames. The coffee is strong and the food is well crafted and delicious. We always sit on the patio with our pups.
Tosca is one of my favorite places to eat/have a cup of tea or coffee off campus. It is fancy, has tons of plants, friendly staff, fast service, and good music.
They tried to remake themselves into an Italian Bistro but failed in the execution in many ways. The dishes are super expensive for their quality. And they don't even give bread for the table. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken tasted like it was fresh out of a can, the noodles were few and undercooked, the mushrooms were chewey and some weren't even separated, and there was more water than sauce in the plate.
