I recently had a very bad experience with the care at Baptist Hospital in Miami. The doctors—from the hospitalist to the specialists—were almost never seen. Instead, they kept sending physician assistants and nurse practitioners for quick visits, barely lasting 4 minutes at times. The care felt very poor and rushed. They seemed more focused on numbers on the monitors than on how the patient was actually feeling or what symptoms were there.
