The absolute worst customer experience I've ever encountered in banking. I was on the phone for a total of 29min. During this time, I was transferred 3 times. After clearly explaining the purpose of my call exactly the same for the 3rd time, I was finally placed on hold for another 14 minutes only to be provided with another phone number to call. Terrible bank. Got automatically transferred when Bank of The West merged with BMO. I tried 10 times to update my check*** account on the stupid app with constant error codes to pay my credit card. Kept reinstall *** to no avail. Phoned several times, spent about 4 hours try*** to pay via the phone which cost me work hours. 3 Payments kept gett*** reversed next day and now they won't wave the Reverse Fees. Getting online CC transactions denied over and over again for a certain company. Called BMO each time, they fix it for the weekend, but I have to keep calling every weekend, I am getting tired of this bank, I will be switching banks. BE WARNED FOLKS!!! I think they just want to hold on to my money.
BMO customer service is the worst I have ever been subjected to. As a customer I have gotten emails that my password has been changed and if it was me not to be concerned. It wasn't me and after logging in to my account with my password that apparently had not been changed and making a change to my password out of concern I contacted "customer service" and was given the complete run around with no answer as to how this email could have been sent to me. This is a horrible bank. Tellers don't check id properly or compare signatures with signature cards on file resulting in imposters withdrawing funds from my accounts. Security should be of the upmost importance this day and age and this institution is definitely lacking in the area.
BMO uses illegal practices. They hold your payment for an additional week and take more interest and less principal. I pay an extra 100 a month and they took it all to interest. Even tho it's was paid on time.
My loan account was sold to BMO by Bank of the West without notice. Although I have my loan account number I am not allowed to access my account without extensive verification rules and personal information and proof of who I am. I’m 77 years old, not well, have disabilities, and they expect me to fill out a form, go to a branch(we have no BMO branches in our state), and show real license with photo, passport with photo, have proof of who I am via Notary, and fill out a form! Avoid this bank. We have been a small business customer of ******************** for 5 years. Upon BMO's acquisition they limited online access to our accounts. They now want to charge us $15 per month for online, read only statement access for our accountant. This is typically a customary free service provided by all banks. They are not business friendly and are ****** fee happy.
After the switch from Bank of the West to BMO, my card was declined when doing 2 different on line transactions. I used my husband's card on the last one and it went through. I called customer service to see what is going on and I was told that the last transaction went through on my card. I informed the agent that it didn't and was told that yes it did. I also asked why I can't access my husband's card with on line banking and was informed that since we have different card numbers and SS numbers, he would have to create his... read more
