My 2 year old shepherd had a bad foot infection that had previously tried to be fixed but kept coming back for some reason. I switched her to this vet after a referral from a friend due to the payment plans. The vet she saw quickly realized that because of her EPI condition, which makes her pancreas not work and unable to digest without an enzyme on her meals, that more than likely she wasn’t the getting the full benefit of an oral medication that had been previously tried. I followed Dr Nielsen when he moved here from the Richfield location and he is the best vet I have ever encountered. He is caring, professional and smart. I recommend him very highly if you want a Dr that cares for your dogs. he has taken care of my Parson Russels and my oldest is 19 on valentine's day. I have always been given good honest advice and I wouldn't go with any other Vet
Called to try and get "prescription" canned food for our dog because we couldn't get to our regular vet in Bloomington because of the April 14th snow storm. They wouldn't even let us purchase 1 can without an exam even if we could get our vet to send the prescription on Monday. Profits over caring for pets. No way we will ever set foot in this or any other Banfield.
With my sick kitty, I wanted a miracle; I was given straightforward answers that I actually expected before we got there. Although, I ended up saying good-bye that day to my sweet Mr. Fuzz, I can say I'm grateful for the compassion that I experienced at this clinic. My female kitty, Booyah, was spayed yesterday and is restfully recovering today.
Our Jack Russell had not been keeping anything in--it was pretty much going right through her. You have to begin worrying about dehydration, so we took her in to Savage. We know one of the staff there, and she greeted us like any other customer. The doctor was fantastic and within the hour, they had done a fecal test, blood test, and trimmed toenails to boot.
