I would not ever recommend Banfield in Glen Carbon Illinois!! They are rude & not professional at taking care of emergency situations, especially if you only need a couple of stitches for your pup. Not sure why they even have hospital in the name! They were more concerned about getting out of the clinic than responding to my concerns...do not go to this location!!
3+ hours for a routine check up? I get COVID is slowing things down but COME ON! My cat is healthy, had no concerns going in. Dropped her off at 8:30. Going on three hours with no call or update when she’ll be done. Not the first time this has happened. Northgate small animal hospital in collinsville is MUCH better. They call you throughout your *at the most* hour long visit to let you know how your pet is doing. Very considerate. Unlike Banfield.
RecommendedLove this place and the insurance most everyone there is wonderful there with my Jinksy! We have been going there over 15 years they even saw my turtle sometimes. Tons of cats we have had, Jinks, Turtle, friends pets, as my son got older we took his cats there. Always call them for questions I have about anything to do with pets when they are open!
They almost killed my dog. he was paralyzed for about 4 to 6 days still not the same. wobbles trips over back legs cant do steps hard time staying up he gets tired and gives up. he was fine before they checked him and said he needed these meds. he went in for his throat and heart to be checked not his legs. they put him on Carprofen day 4 he couldn't walk at all paralyzed middle all the way down his back legs. now he has feeling he can fumble walk. My dog was at Petsmart and bit a big dog’s nose. It required two stitches and medicine being sent home with the owner. How much do you think that would cost? $100 - too low. $200 - maybe in the ballpark, $300? $400? $450? How about $493.83. Run while you can people. Even if you think you like them, wait until they get you in a situation where they can gouge you!! They are scam artists!! Please, please don’t go here!! BTW they are not associated with reputable Petsmart. They only rent space in the same building.

I love all the vets and workers at Banfield. They are always friendly and able to see my Jet when he's sick. I highly recommend the insurance they offer! It paid for itself when Jet had pancreatitis!!
