Dr. Hoercher was excellent. I highly recommend her for eye exams. However, I left my frames to have new lens put in them. When I came to pick them up I immediately noticed that a piece missing on my frame. They were in perfect condition when I left them and missing a piece when I picked them up. I was told there was nothing they could do about the missing piece. It was even said that the piece must’ve been missing when I brought them in! That was not the case. RecommendedFrom the time that I arrived from the door being opened for me to the short time that I left, I was treated like the most important person in the office. The Doctor took time to show me what was going on with my eyes and the Optician was patient was kind. I will be returning to this office and going no where else for my eye care.
Dr. Hoercher has been great with my family. She is full of information and you can tell she likes what she does. However, the rest of their staff is AWFUL!! The front desk staff was very rude...over the course of about 4 visits over the past two weeks. The opticians had major attitude problems as well! Had a horrible experience with Eastern Shore Eye Care and left after they tried to take advantage of me with upsales and not applying my insurance allowance. Went to Baldwin Eye Clinic to get my prescription for eye glasses filled and this is where I will be going from here on. They were absolutely wonderful in confirming my insurance, getting me set up with glasses, AND they were ready the next day. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. Highly recommend.
Dr. Scott is rude and arrogant. With so many positive reviews, I expected better service. I’ve gone to 3 different doctors at this office and the one I preferred is no longer there. My glasses never come in on time and now that I’m switching from regular contacts to glasses mainly, I’m going elsewhere.

Dr. McGowin is a great doctor and the only reason I will return. However, the lady at the eye glass station needs major customer service training. They also need a sign letting people know where to pick up their contacts. Unless, it’s her way having a power trip and an excuse to be rude to customers. There was some confusion at first but after it was sorted out she proceeded to tell customers about the incident and labeled me as “poor thing”. So tacky!!
