This is not a very nice place to live in the manager is a very unprofessional manager. The office is always closed. they change things unexpectedly they don’t give you a notice they hit you with The rent is gonna get increased now we have to pay for water, sewer, and garbage the light bill. No the light bill we paid the utilities. She emailed us one time and said that we’re gonna have to pay electricity. Duh we are paying electricity already. Don't bother coming here if you actually want a management that WILL communicate with you! They never answer phones, never calls back. Office is NEVER open and the only times you get any sort of communication from the place is when their telling you that the office is gonna be closed AGAIN. Why have hours if you dont follow them? I miss the old management.
FEATURED NOTE: I have been approached to "consider revising my review" up to a higher score twice now by property management, and I will not. I review accurately to my experience and with pride in keeping accurate so that others can make informed decisions. UPDATE June 2, 2026: Fast update this time. Kind of wild but I just went to pay rent and now they're actually charging a $35.69 on top of rent to access the trash. We have been living at BakerVista for almost 12 years. Seen a few owners take over but Sparq Living is the worst. Management is horrible about returning calls and text. Never available in office during office hours, and hardly there. Management brings baby to work and new puppy and smells very foul in the office. Rodents seem live on the property. No smoking policy on property, but seen maintenance crew smoking on property. No one knows who to talk to for complaints. We are very frustrated.
UPDATE May 2026: They just raised our rent $100 without any real notice as to why. We didn't have our water 'monitor' installed which they were using as the reason to do so. I've luckily been keeping a great record of everything that has happened since SPARQ/Arise have taken over. More in-depth review coming soon, and there's so much more I can add!
