The adage "Don't judge a book by its cover" can be applied to Baker's Keyboard Lounge, which looks like a hole in the wall establishment but is one of the oldest jazz clubs in the United States. So if you're a jazz fan, this is the club to visit when you want to watch jazz locals mix it up. Another fun feature here is the piano key painted bar, where locals spend many a night listening to their favorite tunes. If you are longing for a bite to eat while you enjoy the music, Baker's has a wide menu with some no-nonsense favori... read more

What a place. With real music. I came from Brooklyn to Detroit visiting a friend and I hear about this place before. And was an absolute great experience! When in back in Detroit for sure I'll be there again
I really enjoyed myself the comedians were great. Food was good, koolaide and Shanie D amazing. Will be returning
I have always LOVED Bakers....from the entertainment, to the scrumptious entrees on menu, to the ambience, to the friendly patrons. However, my experience today was less than to be desired. The knats and flies made my experience rather uncomfortable. I had to keep my drink covered and hesitated to order food for fear of knats and flies flying in my food/drink. Not good.....at all. Signed, Still Itching
Great food great music great atmosphere
Baker's is a national heritage site, located in Detroit. A must for smoking' jazz, soul food and a super friendly vibe. i love this place, have ever since i saw kenny burrell there in 1963. Baker's rocks.
I went to Baker's after work just to grab a bite before going home. The food was delicious and the entertainment was amazing... instead of eating and running out, I stayed and watched the second set of he show.
From the time me and my fiancée walked in the atmosphere seemed just right. The lighting is so perfect for the feel of the jazz music. Our food came rather quickly and tasted delicious. Definitely will be coming back son and often.
I enjoyed the evening .I especially loved the band Ernie Johnson on bass
Horrible customer service, food for s table of 7 took 2 hours and it was received at different times. Never ever again!
