About this business

The adage "Don't judge a book by its cover" can be applied to Baker's Keyboard Lounge, which looks like a hole in the wall establishment but is one of the oldest jazz clubs in the United States. So if you're a jazz fan, this is the club to visit when you want to watch jazz locals mix it up. Another fun feature here is the piano key painted bar, where locals spend many a night listening to their favorite tunes. If you are longing for a bite to eat while you enjoy the music, Baker's has a wide menu with some no-nonsense favori... read more

It's an honor & pleasure to be apart of the Bakers Keyboard Lounge family. I've performed there many times in the pass, but to be the featured Vocalist for Jazz greats OGD (Perry Hughes on Guitar, Gene Dunlap on on Drums & Gerard Gibbs on Organ ) every Wednesday night. Is a dream...The owners are top notch men , who believe in the artist , & customer service. And the staff are hard working Detroiters with a definite art for making people feel comfortable, and cared for. Bakers Keyboard Lounge is the premiere jazz club in Det... read more

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great Jazz. Just a little snug. And when its crowded. Which it usually is. Its between cramped and cozy depending on which seat you get.

The entertainment was amazing. The food was yummy, it took awhile to be delivered but that's to be expected, the house was packed. The severs were extremely busy but their attitude remained great. They continued to check on us. Bring your patience and just enjoy.

We got there about 30 mins before closing and still got charged $10 a piece to get in. The band was done performing and the kitchen was almost closed. While the food was delicious, they charged us an arm and a leg for it and we weren't able to get what we wanted due to the kitchen almost being closed. We spent about $120 total for a 30 min experience. I was not happy. The drinks were strong though!
