I visited Dr. Bacon 6 times. Out of the 6 times I only saw her once. The remainder of the time I saw her assistant. I always felt rushed.
Business response:
There are signs in the patients rooms stating to ask to see the doctor is you desire. Patient's also sign a consent saying the same thing. I apologize for any misunderstanding.
Communication skills are poor. Didn't inform me on anything before or after my surgery about what she would be doing to repair my fractured ankle. I just happened to see the x-ray on the screen and had to ASK if I had two plates (I thought I just had one). She answered Yes and still didn't explain anything to me. Appointments are always rushed. She never spent more than 3 or 4 minutes with me IF she bothered to attend my appointment at all - usually sent the PA in to see me.
Business response:
Patients are shown their radiographs on the 1st postop visit and I go over them with them. They are typically brought up each visit. They are given a copy of their radiographs after surgery. Patients are also issued a 1 page summary of their postop course. In every room is a sign that states if you would like to see the MD please ask and sign a document stating the same. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. Please feel free to call me to so I can address your concerns.
