Where do I start. Manager I made reservation with was awesome. Had to push back 15 minutes, appreciated the call to let him know. Our server (2 actually) Kim and I forget the others were joking and laughing with us. Lobster bisque was phenomenal. Timing between apps and meal was PERFECT. Drink was never empty, and the bone in ribeye was crazy good. My mom had the prime rib. Huge, melt in your mouth. Honestly, based on the outside, the neon sign and on the name, it looked like a “Pit”. My husband and I only tried it because the restaurant I wanted to try had closed down and I looked for the nearest steak place. Come to my extreme surprise, you walk in and white linen tables, nicely dress staff and a fire pit in the middle of the restaurant to make and pardon my “French”, Damn Good Steaks!! It is a hidden gem of Lake County.
7:40 pm on a Saturday night and out of prime rib. Requested bread that I noticed on others tables and was told out of bread for awhile. 8:56 pm on same Saturday night and asked for a refill on my regular coffee ... told only decaf left.. closing time 10 pm. What’s wrong with this picture?. Service slow and product not up to par with a $200 tab. Disappointed to say the least.
LOVE the food and atmosphere! Servers are always friendly and food is top notch. This is a go to for a great meal!

My husband and I went there last night. It was awesome. We sat at the bar. It has a really nice friendly atmosphere. The bartender was very nice - not in a hurry, not pushy. We had the Surf n Turf. It was great. Loved the lobster! The filet wasn't seasoned much, but just added salt, and it was fine. Salad bar was fresh. The only thing I might change is the bread loaf. Not so warm, could be warmed up before they bring it to you. That would be better. It was a very enjoyable time eating there. Thank you...
