My friends and I were in town for the long weekend and we stumbled upon back deck. This is a case where looks are deceiving. The bar and grill is absolutely stunning. The food on the other hand is not good. I got the orange chicken kabob and it was bland. The only thing I could taste on it was the burnt parts. The food tasted good be we felt very rushed. The hostess said we could only stay if we were getting food and she said they were closing at 9:30 even though the website said 10. We felt rushed eating. The food tasted good. I think it would be a good place to munch on food and watch a game.
Stopped in for dinner. Very friendly hostess. Wasn't busy, yet my drink didn't come until after food arrived and I had to remind him I ordered one. Surprised the waiter didn't pay attention to no drinks on the table. Ordered the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious. My daughter ordered the mac n'cheese and it was terrible. Brownie sundae was typical but the honey vanilla ice cream was delicious. The cappuccino cheesecake was good. Prices were surprisingly cheap considering it's in downtown Boston.
Second time experience. First time staff was great, food was meh. Second round.....well certainly no improvement. One plus, the meatloaf was better than average. Other meal was a disaster, sent food back twice to be cooked properly. Kitchen staff was quite uncomfortable with this and let us know. Had to order drinks twice. We waited 45 min for supposedly a 20 min wait. Service was slow but it was packed before opera house performance. I got the pulled pork tacos which were absolutely tasteless. Dry,no flavor with dry,chopped Cole slaw on top. If not for the guacamole, it would have been inedible. My daughters turkey burger was good. Would probably not go back.
Stopped here before seeing Wicked on July 5, 2017. Seated quickly, friendly waitress, no reservations and able to get a table by the open window. Our waitress was great, even warned us to move our purses away from the open window "just in case". We had the burgers with the grilled pineapple and it was delicious! Cole slaw had zero flavor, fries were good. I'd come here again without a doubt!
The atmosphere was amazing. My partner and I went in to get a drink and found that we enjoyed the music selection and stayed for quite sometime. The bartender, Brian, was quick on drinks, friendly, and prompt. The drinks were amazing. I especially enjoyed the sangria. While we didn't eat in the resturant we did order to go. Loved it! The prices are great for being next door to the theater. The bartender was awesome! We went for lunch before Mean girls!
