About this business

Located in Williamsburg on Grand Street, Baci & Abbracci is a great Italian restaurant, offering quality cuisine at reasonable prices. The traditional pizza is great, especially the quattro formaggi. B&A offers a nice selection of wines, pasta, dessert and more. In warm seasons there is a lovely garden in the back. Weekend brunch is available until 4pm. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly, astute staff makes this a great destination for a group of friends. It's also a popular place for a romantic date. The name does, after ... read more

ALMOST ASSAULTED BY STAFF. – Finished our meal and were about to leave when a dishwasher came from the kitchen and began verbally assaulting a female friend at our table. They had never met before. It really scared us. We assumed he was on drugs or had a mental disability and were worried he would become violent. He shouted in Spanish for about 20 seconds and then darted back to the door, staring at her from across the room and failing to respond to our questions at him. He didn't respond to our calls when we asked what was ... read more

Best Italian Food in Williamsburg! – Thought we would never find the same amazing flavors and fresh pasta outside of Italy, but this place is quite possibly one of the best Italian spots we've found in the city! Aside from the homemade crusty bread and pizza, the fresh homemade pasta is worth the trip out to Williamsburg. We ate the grilled octopus salad special, quattro stagioni pizza, farafelle eggplant special, and linguine with seafood (specially made to be prego safe). Everything tasted like it came from our grandmother... read more

Worst place to eat – The restaurant for lack of a better term was dimly lit to the point you could not see the menus. The service staff is poorly trained and not professional; the restaurant for being diverse did not offer a wide variety of foods and the potions are among the smallest I've seen in along time. A kid's menu portion is larger the food is plain jane nothing stands out in terms of flavor or presentation. I would not recommend it or return to ever it was that poor. If you have an appetite go somewhere else where b... read more

Excellent Italian food! – Excellent food! The Malbec was exquisite! I could judge the restaurant on its bread alone. The bread was a true artisinal country style Italian bread with a slightly burnt crust. The salads very nice and the main dish Cavatelli con rapini e salsiccia/Cavatelli with broccoli rabe and sausage was very nice. Portions are very European, and overall it's not your typical American-Italian bastardization of Italian cuisine. Highly recommend it if you're in Williamsburg.

Awesome pizza, backyard garden ... all with warm, friendly service. – Seriously the best pizzas and a great backyard garden. I recommend the calamari appetizer (not greasy, light and crisp), the antipasto (the mozzarella is just like it was made and FedEx'ed from Italy). All of the pizzas are really good, particularly the Baci & Abbracci pizza - smoked mozarella, pancetta, and onion. Again, the food is all high quality, there aren't pools of grease on pizza, it is simple and delicious. My friend who is a vegetarian ordered t... read more

Sad. – No pride was taken in the preparation of our meal. It lacked the delicate simplicities of true Italian cuisine. The pasta was watery, the olive oil thin, the spices numb, and the hospitality sad. For honesty look not here.

Great Food; Great Service – This place is AMAZING! The excellent service they provide started since when I made my reservation. Got a call from the owner to make suggestion on how to manage such a large group (22 of us). He had a menu prepared for us with my daughter's name printed on it (we went for her Christening dinner), the place was all set up and the waiter was very attentive. They had us seated right away and just kept up with the attention throughout. The food was SPECTACULAR! Every course was great. The crab cake s... read more

I miss Baci & Abbracci! – We recently moved from Brooklyn to LA and I've been looking for great Italian places like this place - good food, good wine list, nice looking place, and really nice staff all around. I used to bring my daughter (2 y/o) at least once a week and they were so very accommodating, remembered us after our first time dining there (though that might have something to do with my husband ordering the $20 grappa at the end of our meal!), and most importantly, served us delicious food. Everyone from the pizza ... read more
