BAB's Midtown – Kind of like a New York brownstone basement bistro. Good food - occasionally curious, i.e. lentil soup/mash with eggs on top; but excellent, reasonable fare like the Juniper Street Breakfast. I had this two mornings in a row and the portions varied somewhat. The first morning the owner waited on my party and was on top of things. The second, a rather fried waiter was rude and pushy, which surprised me. Nevertheless, I recommend it because it is a small restaurant struggling against the franchises that are dom... read more
Great Brunch in the heart of Atlanta – Great food, friendly service... Outdoor seating to relax in their cute garden and being in the middle of a cute neighborhood right near Piedmont Park. Dog friendly too!
Our favorite Midtown brunch – Bab's is our hands down favorite weekend brunch spot in Midtown. I expect we'd add a weekday lunch rotation as well if we didn't work OTP. Love the atmosphere. Love the owner and staff. Love the high quality and reasonably priced food and desserts. Love that we have a small, sole-proprietor neighborhood breakfast and lunch spot in Midtown that recognizes and values locals. Babs is a "hidden gem" among all the new "concepts" that pop up and disappear regularly.
Great brunch, fun, friendly – Bab’s is one of those “hidden gems” you read about and think “why can’t I find one of those?” Tucked away under a red awning on the side of one of those grand old Atlantan houses on Juniper, Bab’s is a throwback to a fun, funky and friendly time where homemade cooking means something and the menu isn’t cut out of a corporate office in NYC. Though the menu changes weekly, I’d recommend the Stromboli Eggs when they’re available. Or ask about a variation on them. The potatoes are always good, as ar... read more
Wonderful Neighborhood place with great service – Babs is just the perfect neighborhood place. Randy and his staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is different than most of the cold chain restaurants in Midtown...thank goodness! Its just different enough to be fresh without being precocious or snotty. Look for the latest fashion statement on the pink flamingo...it changes more often than a hostess at the Oscars!
Great place for brunch – Babs is a great place for brunch on the weekends and lunch during the week. I always enjoy going to Babs because I know the menu will change but the food is always going to be good. The atmosphere is fun and cozy with great personal service from the owner. I do not go every weekend but when I do I always get the sweet potato fries, maybe the best in the city.
Great food and entertaining owner – My wife and I go to Babs every other week or so (sometimes more often) and love it. The food is wonderful and consistent. They are willing to make whatever you want. The coffee is great and your cup is always full. Randy, the owner, is always on top of things and always entertaining the customers - as long as you like a little NY sense of humor. Highly recommended and there's never a long wait.
Fun entertainment combined with good food – This cute little neighborhood restaurant always serves excellent food and the waiters entertain their customers with their wonderful sense of humor and care to get to know their customers. It is the best brunch place in Midtown.
Great Brunch Spot – Bab's has a great neighborhood feel and a wonderful location. The staff is always friendly, approachable, and keeps you entertained. I always look forward to coming in for Sunday brunch!
