Does not spent time with patients understanding pain with neck and spine symptoms. When I saw him, he had me do physical therapy and then my neck symptoms worsened. Ended up forcing him to get me in for an MRI to find a herniated disc. Asked for him to explain what the issue was and how to manage. He didn’t spend more than 5 min per session to review files and talk to me. It was a horrible experience. Additionally, to get in it took weeks and sometimes months for treatments.
This MD is tops in my book! Tom Mazahery completed a VERY COMPLICATED rebuild of 6 of my cervical vertebrae that turned out to be 6 vs 3 hours. I absolutely trust this man with my very life. I love him as one of my family! Thanks Tom! I appreciate you and your skills. Dr. Joe McClure VanHoozer
Exceptional doctor. He performed cervical spine surgery on me after a quick and accurate diagnosis based on an MRI. I was very worried about the surgery, based on all the scary stories and problems on the Internet. Three days after surgery I was back to work, and in 10 days everything in my life had returned to normal. No problems ever since. He was exceptionally informative, patient, and willing to answer all my questions. I would see no other doctor for spine work. He is top of the line.
Not sure how this doctor has gotten high ratings. First I have over a40 minute wait as he was running behind. I understand that no worries. But then spend less than 5 minuets with me as a new patient/referral. In the short time says everything is fine wbut we will do physical therapy and shots. Then says as far as why you are having pain down your leg don’t know why and dismissed me He was a complete waist of time time and money. I would give him negative stars if I could.
I would give a higher level rating if possible. Dr. Mazahery is an exceptional doctor and surgeon. I had a laminectomy in April and after only 2 weeks I was feeling so much better. He explains everything in a way that you can understand and answers all of our questions.. We are so happy that we found Dr. Mazahery!
I have been seeing Dr. Mazahery sometime now and just recently had surgery on my neck. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Mazahery and his team It is only two weeks since my surgery and I'm already seeing a huge improvement in my balance and my mobility. Dr. Maza Hari has always taken the time to answer all my questions address all my fears and explain what he was doing and why I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mazahery for anyone with spine or neck issues Karen H K
Neck Surgery and recovery was super-fast. Follow up was fast the next day
4 years ago Dr Mazahery performed an acdf on my cervical spine between c5-c6. I went to 3 doctors, all said the same thing... Diminished function eventually if you don't get better. They all recommend surgery. Dr. Mazahery was confident that surgery would fix the problem but he didn't push me into it. He laid out the probabilities of it getting better, worse or staying the same. 4 years later I'm back to playing tennis, kickboxing and hockey. He took the time to answer questions/concern
Dr. Mazahery is a highly skilled surgeon who handled my complex cervical spine surgery in such a manner that three months after surgery I'm essentially pain free with most of my range of motion regained, no numbness or tingling in my hands and arms. Dr. Mazahery has a very good bedside manner', he answers any questions, lays out the risks inherent in whatever surgery he's doing, and makes you feel that you are in the best hands possible. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mazahery.
