Nektar Meadery was founded in 2006 by Brad and Kerri Dahlhofer, with the help of their good friend Paul Zimmerman. In the summer of 2006, Kerri was laid-off from her job. It's cheaper to buy the mead at a beer store vs. the meadery.
The barrel orange honey mead doesn't actually have orange in it. Those are natural notes of the honey picked up by bees visiting orange blossom trees during pollination. More importantly, it's delish!

The Margarita Mead is awesome. Don't pass on it because it will soon be gone.
