I paid over $300 to be on a program that covers B Carlson HVAC coming to my house twice a year to maintain my swamp cooler, i.e. turn it on and turn it off and inspected and flush my water heater. I signed up for this program in conjunction with getting my swamp cooler turned on for the summer of 2025 as well as repair of the copper line that goes from the swamp cooler to my water faucet. They will charge you just to come out, no, that initial charge does not get absorbed into the total of any other work (**** said its in addition to any other work performed). Just to diagnose the problem of my furnace, the tech said I had to purchase a service package which included maintenance work I knew I didnt need. With hesitation, I agreed to the ridiculous service package mandate. BLOATED ESTIMATE. B. Carlson sent out a technician because my ** unit was making a horrible sound and the fans were barely moving when in use for a few hours. I took a video of the unit so a technician wouldn't have to wait hours to see the problem, and I wouldn't have to run the ** for hours again and possibly blow the compressor. They sent a technician out the same day, Monday, at 6pm. He said it was the condenser fan motor, and he would have to find the part the next morning and send an estimate in the morning. We paid for a Service contract for our heating and cooling. We have used B Carlson for over 15 years. They advertise "Fix right day or night" on their web site and have always had emergency service. With the service contract whenever we have had an issue they have had someone out for service either the same or the next day. Our Breezeaire cooler, that B. Carlson installed for us, stopped working this morning. When we called first thing in the morning we were told that it was almost a month before they could give us an appoin... read more
