Dad's Killer is to die for! Can't eat a whole one in one sitting because it is HUGE!! All their sandwiches are "Killer".
Best burgers in the state! Also very friendly service, with the best cuts in town.
Great burger and ask them to burn the bun. This is the best burger in Des Moines!
I tried the Italian Grinder with peppers. The sausage was very nice with great flavor and there was a beautiful amount of cheese and peppers on top. I would definitely recommend it. The meat counter was extremely busy as it was only a couple of days before Christmas and there were a lot of people picking up their holiday orders, but John and the boys were very accommodating and friendly to everyone. If you go in there once they treat you like part of the family, what a great place!

IF there were more places like B&B, there would be no chain restaurants!
We think B&B is the best butcher shop in the Midwest and come from Kansas City to stock up our freezer. Our personal favorites are the bacon, rib eye steak (and sliced steak), and the prime rib. The sliced rib eye steak sandwich is to die for!!! Don't miss visiting here when in Des Moines.
