This IS NOT authentic Mexican food!! Been there 5 times and the food is pathetic! And so is the salsa! The mahi-mahi taco was the most disgusting fish taco I have ever had!! The ground beef for the tacos and enchiladas is not even seasoned! NONE!! It tastes like browned ground beef. That's mexican?? I don't think so!! The Chile Relenos tasted as if it had freezer burn. While driving through Mayville recently, we noticed the new Mexican restaurant in town and decided to give it a try the next time we were in town. I decided to look for reviews first, just for the heck of it and was sad to find some negative reviews, which made me re-think trying El Azteca. Nothing good to say about El Azteca! Lousy food at high prices! If you are considering eating there, I would choose someplace else. The salsa is pathetic, 10.00 for 3 tacos.....to much, very dry chicken in the Enchilada Mole and tasteless. I love Mexican food, but this is a slap to real Mexican cuisine. If I could give this place a half star, I would!!
Good Mexican place. Nothing spectacular, but still worth a visit. The fajitas are good, but maybe a little bland. The chips and salsa that they bring out when you arrive are delicious. Overall, good (but not great) restaurant with lots of choices.
