So so good!! And amazing service!! I was greeted as soon as me and my husband walked in. The food was amazing my tea never got less than half way..the waiter filled it immediately! All together a very amazing experience!!

Food was excellent as was the service. My family took an impromptu trip to Dallas and my wife wanted some Tex-Mex food our last night there. I did a quick search and Avila's was consistently on top of the list for the best Tex-Mex near downtown Dallas. It did not disappoint! I had a chimichanga and my wife a gordita. Both were very fresh tasting and had wonderful flavor. I'm usually not a salsa person, but I could probably eat their salsa all day...as long as I have plenty of water to go with it, as it has some kick.
Modest little restaurant...in looks only! The food was amazing! Will definitely come back next time I'm in Dallas.

Very authentic, reasonably priced, excellent food!!
When on vacation, we always try at least one Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives place and during our trip to Dallas, this was it. We started out our meal with the chips and salsa, which were delicious! The chips were so thin and crispy and the salsa had a good amount of heat. I had the Triple D combo with the brisket gordita, pozole, and pork tamale. It was AMAZING! The tamale may have been one of the best tamales I have ever hard. The masa was really flavorful! I highly recommend this spot!
