We are so grateful to Dr. Dahlhausen. Our little conure had a stroke the other day and he diagnosed her, went into detailed explanation of how it happened and what to do. He is hopeful she will recover and she's really trying.
Dr. Dahlhausen was very professional and helpful. He tested everything I was worried about, then gave me information and medicine right away. He also helped my birbo's cere bleed he got in the office not get infected. Everyone there was really nice and I recommend taking your birb, or other exotic pet here. The only thing that I was kind of worried about there was that the assistant kept rubbing her nose while she was holding my birb in a towel burrito. Took our sick beardie in just yesterday and hadn't heard much of anything except that he was really sick and it was possibly his liver. Nothing more. We weren't even notified until hours later that he had died early this morning after we had called like we were told to. It doesn't take long to pick up the phone to make a simple phone call saying "I'm sorry to tell you your beardie passed away." Clients will understand if they have to wait a couple minutes so you can call to tell someone that.
Dr. Dahlhausen is an awesome vet. We took our sick beardie to him for a second opinion. First vet told us he was born with congenital defect and to expect vomiting on a regular basis about once or twice a week. Mind you all he did was feel his stomach, no test or anything. Dr. Dahlhausen went the extra mile, drew some fluid from his stomach and found he had a bacterial infection, gave meds, and one week later he is back to his normal self. No vomiting at all.
