WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I’ve been dealing with roaches since I’ve moved in and called pest control dozens of times. They come in for 5 seconds, and whatever they are doing does not work at all. They put roach bait in my baby’s nursery where he could get to it, and I found some in his mouth. Thank God he is okay. I found mold behind the stove and maintenance came and just painted over it. The fridge has been leaking for months, and I’ve put several maintenance requests in, and no one has fixed it. Worst place I’ve ever lived. The fire alarms are constantly malfunctioning. They are loud enough to make your ears bleed and go off at all hours of the day and night.
Please do not rent at Aventine Fort . I’ve been in a battle with collections for almost a year now. I apologize for the length of this review, but I think it’s worth everyone understanding how crooked and bad the management is at Aventine at Fort Totten is. I recommend not even applying to Aventine at Fort Totten, unless you are willing to lose excessive time and application fees at the hands of their leasing office. I spent seven weeks in the application process and lost two application fees (multiplied by # of applicants) - because, after their delay and lack of cooperation with my first application, I was required to submit a second application to move forward. The apartment is a great layout, and I appreciate the proximity to key places. However, starting on day 1, I put in maintence requests for appliances not working, particularly the washer/dryer unit. I need to use the laundry machine every day to care for my paralyzed dog. At first, the dryer didn't work. After a week, the dryer was fixed, but the washer became so violent during use that the machine literally moved outside of the laundry closet and the structure of the machine started falling apart.
