I've been at the 1960 for a year and a half and have mostly positive things to say about this complex. Before moving to Walnut Creek, I checked out five places and all were perfectly fine for me to move into. The two factors that tipped the scale for me were cost and the ladies at the office. The 1960 building is modern. It's not luxurious but it also doesn't carry that price tag. I don't hear my neighbors to either side. Great walls! My husband and I have been living here for over a year and honestly, it's the best apartment I've ever lived in. My husband also loves it here and we can't say enough good things about the great staff at the front desk, fast response times, and how efficiently maintenance takes care of any fixes we need. We had our wedding recently and they were able to let us rent a short-term rental for my parents and the staff let us borrow extra chairs last-minute even when the office was closed, which we greatly appreciated. The 1960 has been the perfect Goldilocks apartment that my girlfriend and I searched for over months. It strikes the ideal balance in every way. Not only does it feel extremely safe, but it’s also in an incredible downtown location. The community itself is exceptionally well maintained — even down to the details.
