Best Cut – I had my hair done here by Connie. The service is great, very relaxing and friendly. It is the best hair experience I have had...possibly ever. I am the type of girl that goes in with an idea in my head of what I want to look like, but it is never fulfilled and then I go home and cry and then continue on with my average hair-do. Not at Avant. This is the first time in my life that the haircut I imagined in my head was executed. Connie was super receptive and totally caught my idea. Best hair dresser EVER!!!!!! – Oh my gosh. I have a huge fear of haircuts after a hairstylist did a remarkably bad job cutting my hair off (think Herman Munster, I kid you not!) Read this! – I had an amazing first time experience at Avant Salon. At first I was apprehensive - I had scheduled an appointment on a Friday afternoon, and after signing in at the front desk, I experienced an atmosphere from the staff that seemed a little chilly. Why try the rest.....go for the best – I called Avant only to find out that my stylist had taken a month European sabitical. The only stylist available was a young girl who had washed my hair and had just recently finished her Avant training program. Since I was desperate for a HC I knew all Avants stylist have to finish their training program, i gave Julia a chance. SHE is Great! Avant SalonSpa at Gateway Shopping Center – I had just moved to Austin from DC and due to your reviews of Avant SalonSpa I made an appointment to have my hair styled and highlighted at the location in the Gateway Shopping Center. It was a very costly mistake. I said NO RED and DO NOTcut more than an inch off my hair. When I left I was almost in tears because my hair had so many RED highlights that I felt has if I was glowing and my hair had been cut up to my ears. You need to go there! – I used to go to Avant SalonSpa at Gateway Shopping Center, but I could only get my hair done on weekends because of my work schedule. Now that Avant downtown has expanded hours from 8 am till 10 pm it is not a problem for me anymore. I was a bit nervous about changing my stylists but Julia who cut my hair did an amazing job. I had lots of compliments. I will definitely see her again. I also love the fact that Avant downtown offers Complimentary Valet Parking.
Life Savers – I had an appt. with Tina and Jean last week at Avant Salon downtown. It was my first time at Avant. Tina provided me with a great new look without damaging my hair: I came in with about 1.5 inches of re-growth from over processed, bleached hair. The final outcome was fabulous!!! She's a real life saver. Jean took the time to explain how to get the look I desired while styling my own hair. Her talent was superior in comparison to where I've been before, and I've been to many higher end salons in the Austin area.... read more
Fine Stylists and Service – I have been to several salons in town and Avant consistently has some of the best stylists, colorists, and service in town. All of the staff is very professional and experts in their craft. I have never been disappointed and always walk out feeling great.
