I found Dr. Avant very professional and very knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to. I am very confident in the surgery he preformed on my arm and plan to see him again. I also saw his PA and I was introduced to him and knew exactly who I was dealing with. It was Dr. Avant’s surgery day is why I saw the PA. I also found the PA to be very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with my dealings with Dr. Avant’s office and all his staff.
His office allows the PA to seemingly pose as Dr. Avant without proper introduction and identification in scheduling and during visit. We were told he supports his PA without knowing the advice given and we were given the run around on a break and careless instruction. We were then told Dr. Avant will not return phone calls and requires an office visit to speak with him about a past appointment. Dr. Avant is one of the most knowledgeable and professionals in the city and beyond, and has the staff to prove it.
Dr. Avant was very professional, kind, and compassionate. Less genericly he was down to earth and approachable. He was transparent in his process of deciding if surgery was the best option. I did not feel pressured for or against any certain option. He repaired a torn labrum in my son's shoulder and the surgery as well as recovery with physical therapy have gone well.

Caring, concerned, patient, easy to talk to. His touch is heart-warming. He earned my trust at the first meeting and it only got better. Nice guy! And the surgery went well.

Dr. Avant was the 3rd doctor to do surgery on my elbow. He is the greatest. I drive almost 2 hours to see him. I will ALWAYS recommend him. He is the next.
