I have sat outside the meetings they have for abusers. The men do not take them seriously. Half show up late, half show up drunk (I personally dated one who did), they don't kick them out hardly ever. Most don't participate in the class, they don't do the hw they are assigned and get away with it. The whole class is a joke considering it's supposed to be for men who beat on women. This treatment center is wonderful. Joanna counsells from a place of empathy, wisdom and experience. No judgment, just truth and facts. I’m knowledgeable when it comes to living healthy, etc. However, she taught me things I didn’t know or hear about regarding what alcohol actually does to your body, cells, your brain mapping, mental and emotional wellness.
