Horrible Support & Communications Positives - the maintenance team is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Negatives - just about everything else. The building is quite literally falling apart. One of the overhead walkways collapsed on itself months ago and hasn’t been fixed. Trying to get in touch with customer support or the leasing office is legitimately impossible. I continue to be pleased and impressed with the maintenance team that we have now. Eric Chavez came to the rescue this past Sunday when my washing machine suddenly overflowed. He used equipment to suck up the water, examined the machine and determined the pump broke. He cleaned up everything and brought in a dehumidifier and fan to continue to absorb the moisture. Compliments to George, Marco, Francisco and Martha, the exceptional people on the Avalon Playa Vista maintenance staff. Marco helped me search for a package that Amazon was supposed to put in a locker and did not. And Marco was so courteous he insisted on carrying it to my apartment. Francisco was busy yet when he saw me dragging my trash to the trash room he stopped me, graciously took the trash from me and said he’ll do it for me. Be careful applying here - they're not very organized and every staff member says different things. No one there seems to have any idea what's actually going on, and you will be encouraged to apply multiple times (for nonrefundable fees upwards of $100) and told you'll be refunded by one person, then told you can't be refunded by another. I've never lived here, but given the lack of competence and customer service in the leasing department, I'm glad I never got the chance.
