Mr. I own a 2001 Audi A4. I have had many problems with it, and Audi parts are expensive. I recently purchased an extended warranty. It was a fortunate purchase because I was suddenly faced with almost $2000 of necessary repairs. David Singh, the Autopia manager diagnosed the problems and contacted the warranty administrator. The administrator's adjustor agreed that all of the repairs prescribed by David were necessary, but the administrator was unwilling to pay Autopia's hourly rate. In short, all of the necessary work was ... read more
Honest! Honest! I just needed someone to help me remove my retired license plates on my 1998 Nissan and install the new plates. My regular repair shop, of 16 years, knowing I was out of work still wanted to charge me so much money for such a little job. The Autopia emblem was on the old plate so I thought I ask them. Kind, understanding, completely honest, they charged me a price I could afford and I promised to use them again for something that really did cost real money. I will. They were so professional. Honest!
Do yourself a favor I brought my 12 yr old Subaru into Autopia last month after neglecting it's upkeep for the last 4 yrs. It had been a heavily used work car for about 8 yrs prior to that. I'd had some trouble with my latest clutch that Autopia had put in for me in '08, but I put it down to my hardly driving any more. So I called Dave S and made an appointment for a tune-up. Once they got my car in they found out the clutch really did have a problem and they replaced it at no charge. They also had the foresight to send my f... read more
Autopia=Utopia I bought my Saturn SL-2 from the fellas at Autopia 6 years ago and it's been one of the best cars I've ever owned! I stay on top of the maintenance [bringing it to them of course] and consider myself [and my car] fortunate to be in such good care. Dave has always made himself available to answer questions for me if I call re: any problem, and his sense of humor is also [very much] appreciated! Autopia is definitely my kind of "car shop." A good business. I brought my car to Autopia for the first time to get a second opinion on another garage's prognosis and cost. While Autopia agreed that, yes, my '97 Camry w/ 240 thousand miles needed a new engine, it wasn't ready to give in yet and technically nothing was broken. Instead of the $6,000 for a new engine quoted by the last garage, Autopia suggested I get a used engine installed for half the price - but not until this one gives out. As I can't afford a new or used engine, this advice has been the difference be... read more
Autopia Autopia upsells with such percistance and annoyance that I avoid that place ever since going there for the first time, though they may advertise good prices and mail out coupons. If you are salesperson resistant, know exactly what you need and are not easily annoyed, you might actually like that place location is very convenient, and so are service hours. Otherwise, just go elsewhere. PROS: location CONS: upselling goes overboard
Excellent service I dropped my car off for a problem with the battery connection, and I picked it up with many other problems fixed too! Of course they called and verified with me first before making any repairs. They dealt with my warranty company so that I didn't have to, and they got almost all of the repairs covered. For one particular repair that I really needed, but didn't think I could afford, they came up with a generous solution: giving me a discount according to an old coupon for that repair. Then when I picked up ... read more
The best guys around!! I just have to tell you that this is where you want to go for just a check up or major work on your vehicle. These guys saved my life because I was going on vacation and didn't have the money to make all the repairs that were need to go on this trip. The allowed me to get the repairs done and do a two payments over a two week period. Where else would I have been able to do that? No where. These guys are the ONLY place I will ever take my to car again.
show me a perfect shop I know the difference between having experienced and unexperienced techs work on things and believe me,you pay a lot more when they dont know what they're doing. Autopia has two mechanics with more than twenty-five years of documented proffessional experience each, ask them and they,ll prove it. I know because I've been going there for over ten years,I know them personally and I have been very pleased with them. Good mechanics are far and few between so dont be so hard on them if they sometimes show th... read more
