History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

I had been a raving fan of AutoNation Honda Hollywood, having leased 4 cars in a row. But the finance person at my last closing told me that the Honda roadside assistance program was no longer offered, then upsold me on an AutoNation policy. I have a hard time believing this was an honest mistake I have been waiting for a call back from the Finance Manager to resolve this for over a week now.
I bought my Honda Accord Sport Special Edition here in 2017. And even though I live in Miami I have brought it back even for all oil changes, due to the excellent customer service. Jean Cilien (Assistant Service Manager) is very professional, thorough, and efficient. Who could ask for more? ...plus I get a car wash!
